7.  FOR MUMBAI PORT TRUST OR SPV, ONE OR TWO SUITABLE RO-PAX VESSELS ON TIME CHARTER OR ON BAREBOAT CHARTER. CAPABLE OF CARRYING 30 – 50 CARS AND 250-350 PASSENGERS, FACILITIES REQUIRED FOR PASSENGERS -  SEATS, AC, WATER AND REFRESHMENTS. FOR FERRY SERVICE BETWEEN FERRY WHARF AT MUMBAI AND MANDWA (ALIBAUG) WITHIN MUMBAI PORT LIMITS. DELIVERY/RE-DELIVERY: MUMBAI, CHARTER PERIOD ABOUT 3/4/5 YEARS CHOPTION (FLEXIBLE ON PERIOD), LAYCAN  OCT’2018 ONWARDS. SPEED MINIMUM 13 KNOTS AND AGE LESS THAN 15 YEARS. LENGTH – LESS THAN 100 METERS; BEAM – LESS THAN 30 METERS; DRAFT – LESS THAN 3 METERS. VESSEL CAPABLE OF 24 X 7 ALL WEATHER CONDITION OPERATION. THE FOLLOWING ARE SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS –
[A] PROPULSION:-VESSEL PREFERABLY SHOULD HAVE AZI PROPELLERS FORWARD AND AFT.  IF NOT THEN THE VESSEL SHOULD HAVE BOW THRUSTER AND AZI PITCH PROPELLERS AFT ALTERNATIVELY BOW THRUSTERS AND FIXED PITCH PROPELLERS. VESSEL SHOULD BE HIGHLY MANOEUVREABLE AND CAPABLE OF BERTHING AND UNBERTHING WITHOUT TUG ASSISTANCE.
[B] RAMP: RAMP SHOULD BE PREFERABLY ON BOTH SIDES, NAMELY, BOW AND STERN. IF SINGLE RAMP THEN BOW WATER TIGHT RAMP.  ALTERNATIVELY STERN RAMP WITH SUFFICIENT DISTANCE TO ENSURE THAT THE PROPELLERS DO NOT HAVE AN OBSTRUCTION WHILE BERTHING.  BOTH RAMPS SHOULD HAVE CLEAR VISIBILITY FROM THE BRIDGE.
THE OWNER AND VESSEL TO FOLLOW DGS REQUIREMENTS TO OPERATE ON INDIAN COAST. THE VESSEL MUST BE IACS CLASS AND DULY CERTIFIED. VESSEL MUST COMPLY WITH IV ACT OR MS ACT.
