In November 2010, Further Public Offer (FPO) through 100% book building process, comprising of a ‘fresh issue’ of 42,345,365 equity shares and an ‘offer for sale’ (OFS) of 42,345,365 equity shares by the President of India. Post the disinvestment, the paid up capital increased to Rs.465.79 crore and the Government’s shareholding in SCI reduced from 80.12% to 63.75%.
Compliance with Integrated Management System (IMS)for all ships and establishments (covering Environmental Management System, ISO 14001: 2004, Occupational Health and Safety Assessment System OHSAS 18001: 2007 and Quality Management System QMS 9001:2008) in December 2015.
In April 2017, the then SCI’s total fleet strength of 70 vessels aggregating to 6.01mndwt. crossed the 6 mn dwt tonnage mark.
