DGS has launched the e-module on registration of vessels for anti-piracy escort in the IRTC. The module is presently launched on ‘Beta - version’ for about 30 days and can be accessed by activating the “Anti piracy escort” icon on the home page of www.dgshipping.gov.in. The module is user friendly and involves two step registration, namely:
Step 1: Obtaining user ID and the password. This is generated automatically on submission of basic information of the applicant but would be activated 48 hrs after the submission of application.
Step 2: Registering for a particular escort service. This is achieved by accessing the registration form by using the assigned user ID and password.
